Privacy Policy

UNFOLLOWED (“we”, “the site”) is a free tool that compares the Followers and Following lists from your Instagram data export. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.
Your Instagram files
The files you add are read and compared entirely inside your browser. They are never uploaded to our servers or anyone else’s, and we never see their contents. Results exist only in the open tab’s memory and are gone when you start over or close the page. We never ask for your Instagram password, cookies or access tokens.
Information stored on your device
When you pick a language from the menu, the site saves that choice in your browser’s local storage so the home page can open in the same language next time. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it in your browser settings.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Ads are served by third parties, so this part of the site does involve cookies and similar technologies:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and can change their choice at any time.
Ad providers receive the standard information your browser sends with any web request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you are viewing. They never receive your Instagram files or results, which stay in your browser.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
